A candidate need to fulfill two qualifications : 1. GATE qualification as much as marks you can sore. Honours degree in my B. I hope you understand now. For important subjects and topics buy a previous years papers book in which you will find all the analysis very well including GATE paper. Then atleast one standard book of each subject. I am preparing for gate as well.
If I attend Gate and qualify, will both the gate scores be valid? Yes both would be valid but for taking admission in and educational institutes only. Just solving previous papers will not help anyone. We have mentioned this many times in our various posts. They only have nearly 6 months for GATE exam. So this is an approach which will help them to understand GATE exam. Solving previous papers will give you a good idea about what kind of questions they generally asked from a certain topic.
From what particular area they asked questions mainly. What areas are in which we need to prepare hard and what areas we need to left. These are the few advantages of that. Getting a good score depends upon many factors. Your approach towards GATE preparation, plan for exam, from what source you study and what you study.
Because in this competitive environment it is more important to know that what we do not need to study then what we need to study. So start your preparation by solving previous papers is just a strategy if you find it useful you may use it. Otherwise there are many strategies you may adopt any.
