Witnessing is a powerful tool for our own spiritual growth, and pleases the Lord. Do something for someone else without expecting anything in return. Use the gifts God has given you. If He has called you to create, then create. If He has called you to administer, then administer. If He has called you to shepherd, then shepherd. I also have had seasons when I have felt closer to God through the voice the Holy Spirit speaking to me, and seasons when it has felt like a dry and thirsty land.
When we are in those dry seasons, it is a prompt to us to conscientiously take the time to get quiet with the Lord and do all those things He longs for us to do: talk to Him, pray to Him, read the Word, fellowship with other believers, spend time in nature, journal what God is speaking to you today, and more.
If you have gotten busy because of your responsibility as a spouse, I encourage you to spend time with your spouse in prayer so that you can grow in relationship with God together. Memorizing Scripture is the second layer of knowing the Word. While Bible study helps us know God and his ways, memorizing Scripture keeps His word in our heart.
Jesus knew Scripture by heart and quoted it often. Each time Satan tempted Jesus in the desert, Jesus responded with Scripture. And when the Sadducees tried to trap Jesus with words, he used Scripture to point out their error and answer their question. Memorizing Scripture makes us more like Christ because, like Christ, we can meditate on it, bring it to mind to defeat the enemy and use it to weed out error and defend the faith. One of the ways we can grow more like Christ is to look for ways to serve others.
We should ask God to help us to see people as he sees them, see their need, and then be willing to stop and serve them. Jesus modeled this service just before going to the cross. How could Jesus, who was Lord and Master, stoop to wash their feet? Jesus was teaching by example. Jesus prayed often, and he made it a priority to get away by himself for regular prayer. He spent whole nights in prayer and prayed deeply before and after crucial events.
Before calling the 12 apostles, Jesus spent the night in prayer. We serve an all-powerful, all-loving God who saved us from eternity in hell. We should be cheerful about that. Scripture Luke recommends temporarily abstaining from necessities, like eating, to intensify our dependence on God through prayer 1 Corinthians This helps us to put our sole focus on Him before important decisions. Matthew gives insight on what our fasting should look like.
Share the Gospel. We just need to clearly communicate it and demonstrate it in a Christ-like manner. Rejoice in the Lord and be glad in it. You may have an unresolved sin issue. So confess, repent and return to the joyful life that God has planned for you. Tend the earth. Share your bounty with others, particularly homeless shelters. Bring order to your home. Just like our bodies, God commands us to be in control of our family and possessions. Drive out chaos by keeping a tidy home and developing systems to help everyone in the family be more efficient with their time and resources.
Seek guidance from wise counsel. God places these people in our lives for a reason. Do good works. Respect those in charge. For there is not authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Are you trying to decide which car to buy or are you struggling with paying your bills? Include the Lord in all of your decisions. Talk to Him all day long. Pray about everything. Praise Him, thank Him, ask for help and guidance.

Well, the salvation of our souls and protection from eternal damnation is the best deal of our lives. Why would you keep that quiet? I know that our friends and family can be the worst at listening, but you have to try.

You simply have to believe that God is who He says He is. I understand that it can be hard to just put your faith in someone that you cannot see or touch. Connecting with God means that you trust Him. If you trust Him, He will help you. So get busy, go and do! There are so many options of things that you can listen to on the radio.
You also have the option of listening to motivational podcasts or other types of recordings. You can also listen to talk radio which includes preaching or the discussion of Bible topics. Take the time, while driving or during down time to get closer to God spiritually.
Your choices are endless. A growing relationship with God includes prayer. Make sure that your prayer life includes gratitude.
